Vacancy: Stakeholder and community engagement strategist

Duties and responsibilities
Stakeholder engagement and advocacy
Identify and build relationships with policy actors and stakeholders working in international affairs and development in Geneva and around the world:
Map relevant policy actors and stakeholders for PoliSync’s work broadly, and for specific PoliSync projects
Outreach to relevant policy actors and stakeholders for PoliSync activities
Plan and execute multi-stakeholder dialogues with relevant policy actors and stakeholders
Attract relevant individuals to follow and engage in PoliSync’s social media accounts, events and activities
Attend events, conferences and workshops organised by others and liaise with policy actors and stakeholders
Maintain and manage PoliSync’s newsletter and contact database
Disseminate research findings through digital tools and communications techniques targeting PoliSync’s audiences
Develop communications material and disseminate among relevant policy actors and stakeholders
Capacity building workshops
Manage PoliSync’s workshop trainers and participants
Promote PoliSync’s workshops among relevant policy actors and stakeholders around the world, as well as among future professionals in international affairs and development
Gather insights from policy actors, as well as future professionals in international affairs on their needs for policy skills development
Identify and build relationships with PoliSync’s workshop trainers and participants and manage their workshop participation to ensure smooth delivery
Conduct post workshop evaluations to understand participant and trainer experiences that can support the development of future workshops
Follow up with workshop participants and trainers following the workshops
Projects
Support projects with stakeholder engagement
Identify and involve relevant policy actors in research/tech/data viz. projects
Facilitate PoliSync team members to present research findings at international conferences and summits with policy actors
Conduct policy analysis and policy research for PoliSync’s research projects
Community engagement
Support the implementation of projects through community engagement
Facilitate the inclusion of community perspectives in research projects where relevant, particularly of affected populations, such as refugees and displaced persons.
Gather insights from communities around the world on their attitudes towards global challenges, to ensure relevance between what is being produced at international levels and what is happening on the ground at local levels
Develop communications material and disseminate among communities around the world to facilitate the implementation of international agreements to address global challenges, to counter disinformation, and to ensure relevance
Qualifications, skills and experience
Master level degree in International Affairs, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, community or corporate engagement, public relations
Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
Minimum 2 years of experience in policy research/analysis, familiarity with literature reviews, data collection and data analysis
Thematic knowledge of sustainable development, trade, sanctions, diplomacy, migration, and blockchain
Fluent in English; proficient in French; other languages a bonus
Experience working in multicultural and multilingual environments
